Pulpit Swap

Please join us when Pastor Shanon Thomas and Pastor Steve will again swap pulpits. Pastor Shanon is back in our pulpit during all three worship services on Sunday, April 29. Pastor Steve will be in his pulpit at Rockwall Friendship Church that morning.

Food Drive to Benefit Helping Hands

The Boys & Girls Mission Organization will be collecting food items for Helping Hands during the month of April.
Please help by placing non-perishable food items in the orange bins located throughout the church.

Fabric Needed

The Quilting & Sewing Group works all year making drawstring bags to be included in all of our Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes sponsored by the BMOs and GMOs. Can you please help by providing fabric? 1 yard (minimum) of cotton fabric will complete a drawstring bag. Fabric can be brought to the church office.

New Online Giving Platform

We have an important update regarding online giving at First Baptist Church Rockwall, and we need your help. Your generosity and financial partnership with FBCR is immensely appreciated. We are now in the process of transitioning our online system to a new giving experience called PUSHPAY, which allows for simple giving from a variety of platforms, including mobile giving.

Vacation with a Mission
March 1 – 9, 2019

The FBC Ministry will join our friend, Vocalist Keron Jackson for a Caribbean Cruise aboard the Royal Caribbean Symphony of the Seas where we will present 2 concerts, as well as share the Gospel in the ports of call along the way. You do not have to sing in the choir or play an instrument to be part of this wonderful trip. For more information contact the Music Office.

Worship Choir & Orchestra

Has the Lord given you the ability to sing or play an instrument? You know the old adage.  .  . “Use it or Lose it?”
Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings:
Choir: 6:30 – 8:00 pm
Orchestra: 8:10 – 9:00 pm

Grief Share

Grief Share is a  special support group for people grieving the loss of someone special led by people who understand what you are experiencing. Grief Share has daytime or evening classes available.

Knitting & Crochet Group

The Knitting & Crochet Group meets most Wednesdays, 5:00 – 6:30 pm in room A109. No experience necessary and yarn is provided. Items made are given to Presbyterian Hospital, Appalachian Missions and are sent with those going on Mission Trips.  Yarn donations are accepted in the church office.

Offering Envelopes

If you tithe online via our website or ACH bank draft and would like for us to stop mailing Offering Envelopes to your home please email Kim (kim@firstrockwall.org) in the church office. Please allow 1-2 months for them to stop being mailed.

One Single Purpose

One Single Purpose meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm for dinner and fellowship. We are hoping this fellowship will not only be the beginning of great friendships but also a time of feeding our desire for knowing the compassion and love of God.

Just Drop It In

Did you miss your chance to place your envelope in the offering plate?  There are receptacles located in the back of the worship center for your offering and prayer request cards. Feel free to just drop them in.

Library Hours

Five of our church members have authored books. Come by our church library and check them out. The library is located near the M L Jones Chapel and is open before and after every church service on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. See you soon!
