God, How He Longs for You to See Him

There is a deep sense of unease in our rapidly changing world.  Our distorted view of God is at the root of all our problems.  Join Chip Ingram in this in-depth study of seven attributes of God:  his goodness, sovereignty, holiness, wisdom, justice, love, and faithfulness. We will see Him in a whole new light and discover that our view of Him impacts every decision in our lives. It will change the way we pray, the way we live, and the way we think about the world around us.

The Shadows in Hebrews

The author of the Book of Hebrews teaches that each Old Testament book contains shadows

about Jesus. A book may seem to be about history, for example 2 Samuel. Or it may seem only

to contain songs and prayers, like Psalms. It may seem to be about law, like Deuteronomy. Or it

may seem to be about rules for ceremonies, like Leviticus. But the author of Hebrews shows how

passages from these books are really about Jesus. The Old Testament authors did not always

know that they were writing about Jesus. But the Holy Spirit showed them what they should

write…shadows in words about Jesus. His superiority, His warnings, His encouragements are all

locked away in these 13 chapters. Come, and we’ll unlock the secrets of Hebrews together.

Revelation: The Hope of Glory

While many Christians ignore the book of Revelation because it seems so strange, others spend all their time arguing about its various interpretations. Both of these approaches are unfortunate, for here in the last book of the Bible God gives to His people a stunning picture of the glory of Christ and of God’s sovereign rule over history. Revelation warns of eternal judgment for those who side with Satan and pursue the system of the world. The church, on the other hand, is called to persevere in the midst of persecution so that we might obtain our reward in a new heaven and a new earth where we will enjoy God forever.
