About the Speaker

Growing up in the Hmong Culture and one that practiced Animism and Shamanism, Hua Vang Dodson was destined to live a life separated from the God who created her.  God’s grace sought her out, though, in a poor, remote village and through an amazing series of events, brought her to the United States and, eventually, to Himself. Hua resides in Rockwall with her family. She is married to Don Dodson and has three sons: Michael, Caleb and Mark. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Hua works part time as a Quality Nurse at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Rockwall. Recently, God has called her to be the caretaker of her parents.  Please join us as Hua shares her life story, one that reflects God’s amazing grace from the remote hills of Laos, to the refugee camps in Thailand, to life in the here and now in Rockwall, Texas.
