Seamless by Angie Smith

Led by Cheryl Watson
Workbook: $14.00
Starts: September 20th (7 Sessions)
No Childcare Available

Seamless covers the people, places, and promises of the Bible, tying them together into the greater story of Scripture. Whether you’ve grown up hearing Bible stories or you’re exploring Scripture for the first time, you will benefit from seeing the Bible as a full story.

Experience the Bible as a whole as you gain clarity and confidence in your understanding of Scripture. Discover a biblical context that reshapes and brings to life stories from the Old and New Testaments. Each week is accompanied by maps, general Bible facts, and word studies.

Revive and Restart by John Avant, based on 1 Thessalonians provides a roadmap to what we, the church, need right now. The question is: do we really want to just “restart” church, to get back to “normal” or do we yearn for something radically different?

Join us as we discover answers to these questions using the 3 Question Study format of Anne Graham Lotz.

Whispers of Encouragement from selected Psalms

Study Leader: Betsy Kleinheksel
Starts: September 15th (9 Sessions)
Free Materials in Class
Childcare Provided

Daily, we encounter irritating issues and chaotic circumstances that leave us distressed while searching for answers and comfort. As things and people that we have always “counted on” for answers and support fail to do so, or are just as confused as we are, where can we turn?  The Psalms push us closer to the heart of God —- where, in His whispers of encouragement, we find our thirst for answers and meaning quenched by intimate fellowship with God and the comfort of His Holy Spirit.

Alphabetic Revelation, Part 1

Study Leader: Elissa Heise
Starts: September 15th (10 sessions)
Childcare Provided

Alphabetic Revelation … As Easy As ABC is a fresh look at a book that some find a little too scary to tackle.  This study comes from these verses in the last chapter:

Rev. 22:12-13 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Jesus claimed to be the first and last letter of the alphabet, and by implication, all of the letters in between. Each chapter focuses on one letter from the Hebrew alphabet. At the end of the study, you will be able to tell the entire story of the book of Revelation by memory – simply by remembering the alphabet song (which we will learn).  This class begins on Sept. 15 and will break for the holidays at Thanksgiving and resume in January with Part 2.  (Part 1 is a prerequisite for Part 2.)

There are NO books to buy, and you are invited to bring your laptop or tablet to aid your study. Every week, you will receive a chapter of the book by e-mail absolutely free. Classes last for two hours (from 10:00 to noon).

Jesus promises a blessing for those that read the book of Revelation:

Rev. 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Because, as Jesus said, the time is at hand, we will also learn about the Hebrew calendar and God’s millennial calendar. See you at the first class on Sept. 15!

Women Who Rocked Their World… And Ours! Part 2

Study Leader: Paula Lively
Starts: September 22nd (7 Sessions)
Childcare Provided

From Eve to Elizabeth, from Jezebel to Mrs. Job, examining the lives of women in Scripture can change our world view.  Some live life on the edge while others quietly influence…each with BIBLICAL PROPORTIONS!!!!!  This fall (God willing), we will continue to look carefully at their stories and learn how they rocked their world…and ours. Each week is a separate study of a woman in scripture, so please come even if you did not attend last spring—you are not behind!
