Our Mission

The student ministry’s purpose is to play a part in discipling middle school, high school, and college-aged students to use their God-given gifts and abilities to know Jesus and others better, to love Jesus and others more, and to serve Jesus and others well.

In short, our mission is to help teach your student to know, love, and serve Jesus first. 
 Then to know, love, and serve others.

Student Serving and Student Leadership

If you are a student who is interested in serving in the student ministry or in any of our church’s ministries, we’d love to hear from you. There are plenty of opportunities for you to use the gifts God has given you to serve others in the local church. We want to help you figure out what those are!

There are opportunities all year to serve during Journey, in our Kids Ministry, and in our Music Ministry. Typically, during the summer, we offer a few opportunities to help develop our student leaders to take a larger role within our student ministry. There are service opportunities available for every student if they are interested. Please contact JP or Emma for more details!

Ministry only happens because of our adults.

Adults serve in the student ministry in a variety of ways, and we are always on the lookout for adults who are passionate about serving teenagers. If you are a member at First Rockwall and are interested in serving in our student ministry, please contact JP for more details.
